The French retail chain Carrefour inaugurated a major refrigerated logistics platform last May in the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) of the Port of Barcelona. The company invested more than €12 million in this project, which covers an area of over 18,000 m2.
The facility, in whose construction Inkema played a key role, is entirely dedicated to cold-chain operations (frozen and chilled products), enabling rapid distribution to the retailer’s stores while incorporating the latest advances in refrigerated storage technology.
Specifically, our company supplied and installed 90 loading ramps with a 1,000 mm telescopic lip (RH31), more than 90 sectional doors of various sizes, and 90 dock shelters (9 Premium inflatable dock shelters + 81 retractable dock shelters), along with other loading dock accessories such as traffic lights, dock lights, truck guides, and more.
With this major project, Inkema further strengthens its position as a national benchmark in the installation of loading docks and industrial closures for the large refrigerated logistics platforms currently being developed throughout the country.
