One of Europe’s leading companies specialising in temperature-controlled food transport and logistics selected INKEMA a few months ago for the construction of its latest logistics platform in the metropolitan area of Lisbon.
Over the past few weeks, INKEMA completed the installation of several loading points at the Portuguese capital’s logistics centre owned by STEF. Specifically, a total of 9 isothermal dock tunnels with tubular dock frames, together with their corresponding dock shelters, as well as 9 integrated RH11 hydraulic loading ramps, have been installed.
The tunnels are clad with 40 mm high-sealing insulated panels, while the roof is made from a specially designed anti-drip profiled panel with a slope to prevent water accumulation by directing it towards the front drainage system. The installed RH11 loading ramps can withstand loads of up to 15 tonnes and feature a 400 mm hinged lip.
In addition to the installation of the 9 loading docks, more than 45 sectional doors were supplied for all loading points throughout the facility. A total of 34 refrigerated dock shelters, 2 high-speed doors, and one lift table were also installed, along with other loading dock accessories such as dock bumpers and truck guides.
