At Inkema, we work every day to achieve new advances in passive fire protection. Our engineers continuously develop new models of fire-rated doors with increased fire resistance, always providing the highest performance standards for our customers.

In this case, we would like to highlight our vertical fire-rated doors. These doors are the ideal solution for closing openings where installation space is limited. They are manufactured with one or multiple leaves, each consisting of two pre-painted steel sheets enclosing a core made from a combination of insulating materials that prevent the passage of flames and smoke.

These fire-rated doors can operate either manually or automatically. Closure is ensured by a counterweight system acting directly on the door leaf. When an alarm signal activates the electromagnet, or when the thermal fuse reaches a temperature of 68°C, the fire-rated door is released and driven closed by the counterweight. Once fully closed, the intumescent seal installed within the smoke-control labyrinth expands under the action of heat, sealing the entire perimeter of the door and preventing the spread of fire and smoke.

All our fire-rated doors comply with fire resistance classifications in accordance with EN 1634-1, UNE EN 1363-1, and UNE EN 13501-2 testing standards. Inkema guarantees the performance of these doors in full compliance with current regulations.

Their exceptional fire-resistance ratings (from 60 to 240 minutes), together with a wide range of available accessories, make Inkema fire-rated doors an essential solution for any facility requiring a high level of safety and protection.
